Pizza party? Eighteen-year-old Jeremy Minnier won the mayor’s race in the northern Iowa town of Aredale. It’s a small town, with only 73 residents, so he needed only 24 write-in votes to win. He’s also president of his local Future Farmers of America chapter. Minnier’s father was mayor before Jeremy was born. He’s lived in Aredale his entire life, and he plans to attend college nearby so he can continue his mayoral duties.
