During a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Baltimore Police spokesman Capt. Eric Kowalcyzk broke down the damage from the tumultuous night before: 20 officers were injured during the riots and one person is in critical condition after a structure fire. More than 200 adults were arrested, along with 34 juveniles. More than 140 vehicles were torched, too. A large crowd is currently peacefully protesting, Kowalcyzk said, and there is a 10 p.m. curfew that will last until 5 a.m. and be repeated each day this week. “A group of people took advantage of a situation… and used that to tear down their own neighborhoods,” Kowalcyzk said.
