Twenty-five people were killed on Monday when a public transit vehicle lost control on a Thai highway and collided with a pickup truck going in the opposite direction. The vehicles caught fire during the collision, and only two people survived the crash. Police Col. Dusadee Kunchorn Na Ayutthaya said, "An accident like this shouldn't happen but it did." Two children were among those killed in the wreck, which occurred in Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province, about 71 miles outside of Bangkok. Police are investigating the crash.
