Three people were killed and at least six more wounded in a shooting in the streets of the southern part of Washington, D.C., near Bolling Air Force Base and a sewage treatment plant, Tuesday night. The motivation for the shootings, one of the most violent episodes in the city in years, is still unknown; and police say an AK-47 may have been used. Six of the victims were men, three were women, and eight were in their 20s or 30s while the last was a teenager. Three are now in serious or critical condition. Police currently have three people in custody, but no charges have been filed.
