Four British citizens who have sworn allegiance to the self-declared Islamic State were hit with sanctions Monday by the United Nations. Omar Hussain, Nasser Muthana, Aqsa Mahmood, and Sally Ann Jones were placed under a travel ban and had their assets frozen due to their roles as propagandists for the terror group. As The Daily Beast reported, Jones is believed to be angling for her deceased husband’s role as head of ISIS’s hackers and online recruiters. Mahmood was recently asked on Tumblr about why she doesn’t return to the U.K. “A death in these beautiful lands is more pleasing to us than a life of luxury in the West. May Allah grant us all firmness and sincerity,” she said.
