A bombing at a bus station in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, during Monday's rush hour has killed 71 people and wounded 124. Witnesses say the streets were covered with blood following the attacks and police were reportedly gathering body parts. “I was waiting to get on a bus when I heard a deafening explosion then saw smoke," Mimi Daniels told Reuters. "People were running around in panic." The bombing marks the first major attack near the capital in two years. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, though many already suspect it was extremist islamist group Boko Haram. Although the terrorist group has largely confined its attacks to the remote northeast part of the country, it has been threatening to attack the capital.
