A 7.9-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Philippines Friday. An early tsunami warning for the area has been lifted, but at least one person is dead when a house collapsed in the storm's aftermath. The quake was centered 91 miles off the town of Guiuan in the Samar province of the country’s east coast. The U.S. Geological Survey and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said the quake was at a depth of about 20 miles.
