An activist threw a cake in the face of a German opposition leader Sahra Wagenknecht at a party meeting on Saturday. A political group that refers to itself the "Anti-Fascist Initiative 'Cake for Misanthropists'" pointed out Wagenknecht's comments about refugees as the motivation for throwing the cake. Wagenknecht, who belongs to the Left Party, has said that "not all refugees can come to Germany," remarks that have made her a controversial figure among her party.
