The mother of “affluenza” teen Ethan Couch was arrested Thursday and held in lieu of a $1 million bond after arriving in Los Angeles upon extradition back to the United States. Police arrested 38-year-old Tonya Couch on a felony charge of hindering apprehension of a felon after arriving at Los Angeles International Airport from Mexico, where she and her son had fled. She was held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles while she waited for Texas officials to transport her back to Fort Worth. Couch must pay her bail in Texas in order to be released.
