The Birmingham, Alabama, airport reopened Sunday after being shut down for two hours due to a bomb threat. According to a Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport security spokeswoman, an airport employee found a bomb threat note around 4 p.m., leading to the terminal to be shut down until about 6:30 p.m. About a dozen flights were delayed or diverted. FBI spokesman Paul Daymond said the agency’s bomb technicians teamed up with local police in the search.
