Federal prosecutors in the Dennis Hastert case said Wednesday that a man who said he was sexually abused by him is prepared to testify at the ex-Speaker of the House’s sentencing hearing this month. “Individual D” said Hastert performed a sexual act on him in an Illinois school locker room when he was a teen and Hastert was a wrestling coach. Hastert was found guilty this year of illegally structuring payments of hush money to accusers. Hastert allegedly lied to the FBI when he said he was being extorted by the person he was paying. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas M. Durkin said he will consider Hastert’s lie when determining sentencing. “That’s not conduct that’s 40 years old. That’s conduct that’s a year old. Among the aggravating factors in this case, that’s a big one,” Durkin said.
