Consumer confidence may be surging, but there’s still a lot of work to do before the fashion world recovers. So industry potentates are planning “Fashion’s Night Out,” the first-ever collaborative night spearheaded by Anna Wintour, that will feature fashion shows, parties, charity events and concerts around the world. The night, which falls on the first day of New York Fashion Week, marks an industry-wide effort to boost consumer spending. Over 100 American retailers are participating so far, and Wintour has just announced that every city where Vogue publishes an edition will also host “Fashion’s Night Out” events.
