As usual, Apple is working hard to beat out its competitors in every way possible. Now the company is in talks with record companies to give iTunes customers easier and unlimited access to music purchased on multiple devices, according to three anonymous sources with knowledge of the new plans. With competition from free Internet services such as Pandora and MySpace, which stream songs live from the Web, Apple and record labels are hoping to keep up the demand for digital downloading. The new deal would provide users with a permanent backup of downloads if any originals are damaged or lost, two sources claimed.
