Apple has finally accepted Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist Mark Fiore's iPhone app, after initially denying it because Fiore's work "ridicules public figures." That kind of satire is a no-no in the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement, which forbids content that in “Apple’s reasonable judgment may be found objectionable, for example, materials that may be considered obscene, pornographic, or defamatory.” After Apple drew a raft of criticism for blocking Fiore's efforts, the company's CEO Steve Jobs called the rejection a "mistake." Still, many worry about Apple's ability to censor content sold in the the App Store and on its devices. Fiore's app can be downloaded for 99 cents.
