An Apple employee was indicted by a federal grand jury this week for allegedly accepting roughly $1 million in kickbacks from some of the company’s suppliers in Asia. Paul Shin Devine stands accused of selling confidential information to manufacturers of iPhone and iPod accessories, which was believed to help them negotiate favorable agreements with the tech giant. Devine, 37 years old, was charged with wire fraud, money laundering, and taking kickbacks. “Apple is committed to the highest ethical standards in the way we do business,” a company spokesman said. “We have zero tolerance for dishonest behavior inside or outside the company.”
