Aretha Franklin was granted an emergency injunction motion in Denver to block the Friday night screening of the film Amazing Grace at the Telluride Film Festival. The documentary uses footage shot by Sydney Pollack in 1972 at the New Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Franklin used a decade-old precedent by Elvis Presley.
