Jodi Arias has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by an Arizona judge for murdering her lover in 2008. "Burn in hell!" the victim's sister shouted at the hearing. In 2013, Arias was convicted of shooting Travis Alexander in the head, slitting his throat, and stabbing him 30 times. Her sentencing had been delayed by two deadlocked juries. The jury that convicted her couldn't reach a unanimous verdict on a life or death sentence. A second jury was seated last October to consider the sentences, but they also deadlocked and a hold-out juror was outed on social media. Finally, a judge was tasked with the decision.
