Oh look, something besides immigration we can make fun of Arizona for: A restaurant owner in Mesa is under fire for serving burgers made of lion meat on his menu—an addition he says is meant to honor the World Cup. Available on Wednesday and Thursday nights, the lion meat comes from a free-range farm in Illinois, which, somehow, is allowed to raise lions for meat (and has sold it to other American restaurants, including one in Philadelphia); the reastaurant owner, Cameron Selogie, says he’ll only serve 15 burgers a night. Animal-rights activists are outraged; he’s received over 150 complaints and a bomb threat.
