Gay couples in Arkansas have been put through the ringer this week. After a judge ruled to strike down the state's ban on same-sex marriage, the Arkansas Supreme Court suspended the decision on Friday, stopping marriage licenses from being issued. More than 450 gay couples have already received licenses after Circuit Judge Chris Piazza voided an amendment to the state's constitution that limited marriage to a man and woman last week. On Thursday, the ruling was expanded to include all laws preventing marriage. It's unclear when the appeal for Piazza's decision will be decided.
