Despite rumors that charges were just around the corner for Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner may have quite a while to relax. Lawyers familiar with the case say the federal investigation into charges that Armstrong used performance-enhancing drugs and special medications to help him beat drug tests has hit major legal hurdles, and there will not be a decision any time soon. A Los Angeles grand jury seemed to be moving quickly on the charges last year, but the projected dates for charges all came and went with no word on the case. So far, Armstrong has never failed a drug test, and only one teammate has accused him of doping.
