Meet Brendan James Sokaluk. Sokaluk, 39, is the volunteer firefighter who is suspected of starting a fire in Australia that killed 21 people. The charges against him? One count of arson causing death, one count of intentionally lighting a bushfire, and—one of these things is not like the others—one count of possessing child pornography, The Times of London reports. The arson charge carries a maximum penalty of 25 years, while the bushfire maximum is 15 years. The fire that Sokaluk allegedly set is just one of many that ravaged Australia last week, killing 181, burnt 30,000 hectares of land.
