ArtHamptons attracts celebrities, but few buyers

Good weather and a weak economy kept most buyers away from Art Hamptons last weekend. Though business was lackluster for most of the 68 dealers, the fair was a good spot for star-watching, as rocker Jon Bon Jovi, actor Kelsey Grammer, and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons made the scene, along with a few “housewives” from reality television program The Real Housewives of New York City. At the Parrish Art Museum party in Southampton, honoring Dorothy Lichtenstein, guests included Eric Fischl, April Gornik, Ross Bleckner, Agnes Gund and New York Governor David Paterson.
