In another bizarre twist of timing, Pippa Middleton, who was last spotted being driven to Gare du Nord station by a toy gun-wielding French lawyer, has entered the Time 100 list of influential people.
The magazine says that Pippa Middleton and her sister Kate are “avatars of aspiration” because of their rise from commoners to scaling the palace walls in the Duchess’s case, and for Pippa being “globally recognised, especially from behind”.
Catherine Mayer, Europe editor of Time, told the Daily Telegraph: '“The Middleton sisters are jointly on the list and the thinking behind that is that they have gone from obscurity to being among the most pictured women in the world. They say almost nothing so what we are talking about here is a particular kind of influence. It is an influence through imagery but in the world we live in, it’s incredibly potent. They have, if you like, a disproportionate influence simply because they are among the most photographed women in the world.”
