William and Kate will spend the night before their one year wedding anniversary at a party with friends, and will then head back to the privacy of their Anglesey farmhouse for a quiet evening a deux, it was revealed today.
A Royal spokesperson inadvertently heightened speculation today about how William and Kate will be marking the one-year anniversary of their wedding on Sunday when a St James’s Palace spokesman told the UK Press Association : “They will spend the weekend with friends who have a celebration.”
Predictably, the hunt among the UK media is now on to find out which friends are special enough to be graced with the presence of William and Kate on their anniversary weekend.
No further details have been released, but PA is also reporting with some confidence that the day after the party, the couple “will travel back to their home in North Wales on Sunday to celebrate their anniversary privately.”
The remarks shoot down prior suggestions that William and Kate were planning to escape to the privacy of the Queen’s Scottish estate, Balmoral.
