Excellent news for Royal inebriates - you can now get drunk on the Queen's own booze.
The Telegraph is reporting that the Queen is to double the production of cider from apples grown at her estate in Sandringham. “Last year’s batch of cider sold out very quickly,” says a spokesman. “We have produced 2,000 bottles this year so far and may make more, but it very much depends on keeping the quality.”
Bear in mind what when the Brits say cider, they mean the make-you-crazy-drunk, 6 per cent alcohol stuff, not hot apple juice.
The cider costs £3.99 per bottle and can be bought only from the royal estate.
Prince William is a cider drinker.
