5. Twins Come Out To Dad
When a child comes out to a parent, it’s obviously a massive moment for all involved. Rarely do others get a look into the experience, however. In this video, twins document the moment that they tell their father, via iPhone, that they are both gay. Then they post it to YouTube, concluding an exceedingly 2015 series of events.
4. Patrick Stewart Is That Guy on Your Plane
Patrick Stewart is a renowned star of stage and film. It also appears that he is a terrible person to share an airplane with. In a bit from Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, the X-Men star showcases what poll respondents indicated was the worst of the worst in flying etiquette, from the guy who talks too much to the person cursed with sitting next to him to the guy who has to go to the bathroom way too often and climbs over everyone on the plane on his way there.
3. The World Marches in Unity With France
The horrific terrorist attacks on French satirical publication Charlie Hebdo on January 7 were a reminder of the tenuous nature of the safety and order we often take for granted, and that our rights to free speech and expression must be fought for and protected. Many world leaders–but not President Obama, to the chagrin of some American observers–marched arm in arm through the streets of Paris in solidarity with President Francois Hollande and the people of France.
2. McConaughey’s Dazed Audition Tape
Alright, alright, alright. The moment you’ve been waiting for has arrived. The tape that got Matthew McConaughey, supremo of teen cool turned rom-com heartthrob turned serious actor making serious movies, started in showbiz has surfaced. It features a young, frosted-tipped McConaughey delivering some classic lines, including that old saying about high school girls that is way less creepy than when other people say it, but still pretty creepy.
1. Nancy Grace vs. 2Chainz
Nancy Grace is not associated with calm debate, gathering all the evidence before coming to a conclusion, or logic. This video is an advertisement for the fact that she seems to have filed for divorce from each of these things long ago. Here, she debates the pros and cons of pot legalization with “renowned rapper” 2Chainz, formerly known as Tity Boi. Mr. Chainz makes a number of salient points, not least that prohibition has not significantly curbed access and use and that governments would be poised to rake in revenue should marijuana be legalized and taxed. In response, Ms. Grace cites anecdotes of moronic criminals doing moronical things like forcing their child to smoke weed, and reads some of the rapper’s offensive but nonetheless totally irrelevant lyrics to him. I don’t think she captained the debate team in high school.
