The Zac Brown Band, who’s Uncaged took the Grammy for Best Country Album in 2013, are back, with a new, as-yet-untitled album dropping this year. To say that fans are rabid for the affable, beanie-wearing Brown would be apt—that album’s first single, “Homegrown,” debuted at number one on the Billboard country charts and was the most-added song on country radio last week.
As excitement ramps up, here’s an exclusive live performance of “Free / Into the Mystic,” part of a concert that will appear as the first episode of a new season of Live From the Artist’s Den on January 30, available to watch both on TV and mobile, via Milk Video. Recorded last summer under the stars at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, it’s just the thing to chase away those winter blues.
"We just want to appeal to music lovers—people that appreciate our musicianship and all of the time and hard work that we put into our lyrics and songs—this is our chance to capture them," Brown said in the episode interview. "Hopefully by the end of the performance, we’ve all been lifted up in this kind of sphere of energy together, and when the show is over, everyone feels inspired and full.”
