Heavy Metal played backwards is nothing new, though it’s usually done to uncover some sort of subliminal satanic message that isn’t actually there. But guitarist Rob Scallon decided to perform Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”—since 1990, the first song every kid who’s ever picked up an electric guitar learns to play—backwards, and then flipped the recording to hear it properly. His vocals aren’t exactly backwards compatible, but he plays a pretty wicked guitar solo.
4. Five-Year-Old Proposes to His Dad’s Girlfriend
Kristian Nordstrand is only five but he’s already proposed to a woman—well, technically. Kristian’s dad, Andre, employed his help to pop the question to Andre’s girlfriend, Anne-Marije. Dad saddled the little boy with all the hard work: holding the video camera, presenting Anne-Marije with the ring (tied to a Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider, no less), even asking her to marry his dad. Of course, it worked like a charm, but Kristian’s got some leverage the next time he gets punished.
3. Arnold Schwarzenegger Recaps His Career with James Corden
The former Governator, and once and future Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger was the focus of the latest “Role Call” on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The action icon and bodybuilder pumped some iron and had fun recapping some of his best (and worst) movies. He even got a lap dance from Corden during the True Lies segment.
2. An Experiment in Abduction
A YouTuber named Joey Salads, best known for pranks, caught the attention of parents everywhere when he posted this video. Salads approaches moms in a park, asking them if their kids know not to talk to strangers. He then talks to their kids, luring each of them away from the park with just the help of a cute puppy.
The video isn’t without its share of controversy. According to ThinkProgress, the stats he gives at the end are wildly inaccurate but that’s hardly likely to matter to any parents watching.
1. Key & Peele Take Us to ‘Negrotown’
Key & Peele posted a skit from their upcoming fifth season on Comedy Central. “Negrotown” is a satirical take on the concerns of Black America, filtered through a musical number. It’s so biting and catchy that if they don’t have an all-musical episode planned this year, they should consider one for their all-but-inevitable sixth season.
