A tornado ripped across Mississippi on Tuesday, killing at least four people and injuring at least 20 others, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency. The tornado was one of five reported in Mississippi, with twisters also touching down in Georgia and Louisiana. Police confirmed two deaths in Jones County, where the victims' mobile home was hit by the storm. Nearby in Marion County two more deaths and at least 20 injuries were reported. Gov. Phil Bryant issued a state of emergency for Marion and Jones counties as well as other parts of the state experiencing severe weather. While damage is still being assessed, authorities said the deadly tornado left a trail of debris including heavy damage to homes and businesses near Columbia, where it first struck. A tornado was in effect for parts of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The severe weather is expected to disrupt holiday travel, with more than 5,600 flights delayed and nearly 850 canceled as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, according to FlightAware.com
