Mitt Romney’s career at Bain Capital has officially become a topic of debate in the presidential election—despite the best efforts of Romney and others to brush it aside. Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn from South Carolina said Tuesday that he has a problem with Mitt’s Bain work of “raping companies.” And Sen. Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, agreed with President Obama’s argument that discussion of Bain is fair game for the election. “One of the things I found as I made the transition to public service, there is a different skill set,” said Warner, who founded his own venture-capital firm in 1989.
