Barclays CEO Bob Diamond is setting a new standard for niceness in the workplace. While many global banking and financial services companies seek out arrogant jerks, the Barclays boss is getting rid of them. The chief executive has imposed a "no jerks" ethics rule at the bank and already fired 30 staff whom he thinks has broken it by being poor team players. He cited an infamous 2002 incident in which six Barclays staffers ran up a £44,000 bar tab at the fancy Gordon Ramsay restaurant in London. "Everyone gets stressed from time to time but no one should ever not be nice," Diamond said. "You know what a jerk is when you see it."
