Hail the size of baseballs came down in the Plains state on Tuesday, as a tornado threatened its central area and 1.08 inches of rain was recorded in just eight minutes at the Omaha airport. The hail caused major damage to roofs, cars, and trees. Neighboring states, including Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri, are expecting a derecho—a 200-mile-long row of wind—on Tuesday evening.
