Grammy-winning musician Beck’s latest venture is an online art gallery, which debuted on his relaunched Web site last week. The gallery, ColorSpace, will feature an up-and-coming artist monthly, selected by the musician himself. The inaugural artist is Olaf Bruening, who hails from Switzerland and both mocks and celebrates pop culture in his work. Who Beck will feature next month remains to be seen, as does whether or not his own artistic works will be included—in 1998, he collaborated with his grandfather Al Hansen in the exhibition Beck & Al Hansen: Playing With Matches, displaying collage, assemblage, drawing, and poetry.
