Bill Clinton's role in the flap over the administration's handling of Joe Sestak's primary campaign against Arlen Specter reminds Politico of the old-school ethics accusations against the previous Democratic administration. And just like the Clinton years, it's extremely questionable whether there's any substance to the allegations, as legal experts parse whether the ex-president's suggestion of a possible unpaid advisory role for Sestak in the Obama administration actually violated any laws. “I think it’s an exaggeration to even call this an ethics issue,” Jeffrey Toobin, legal writer for The New Yorker, told Politico. “I think this is a curiosity of political junkies and the tiny, small group of people who are following it will appreciate the oddity of Bill Clinton being involved."
