According to a letter in a new batch of documents unsealed and released to the public Wednesday, al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden considered moving away from his Pakistan compound in the months before he was found there in a CIA raid and killed. “I think that I have to leave them,” bin Laden wrote to one of his wives, Khairiyah. “But it will take a few months to arrange another place.” Six months later, Navy SEALs broke into the compound, killed bin Laden, and turned Khairiyah over to Pakistani authorities.
