Bishop George Packard of the Episcopal church, a former military chaplain in Iraq and a decorated Vietnam veteran, was arrested Saturday during Occupy Wall Street protests. It was the three-month anniversary of the movement, and protesters were trying to set up a new camp on a property belonging to Trinity Church in downtown Manhattan, after being driven out of Zuccotti Park last month. Officials, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu, support the movement and have urged the church to help the demonstrators, but Trinity said the property wasn't available to be occupied. Packard had acted as a liaison in negotiations between Trinity and the movement, but was taken into custody along with about 50 others.
