Could the Ft. Hood shooting have been prevented? A Defense Department review of the attack says yes, and its findings could mean disciplinary action against five to eight Army officers who did not take action against the alleged shooter, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, after he demonstrated suspicious and dangerous behavior.
