Michael Egan II’s petition to have his lawsuit against X-Men director Bryan Singer dismissed without prejudice was granted, which means Egan would be allowed to refile at a later date. Singer’s request to have it dismissed with prejudice and have Egan pay his legal costs was rejected. “Although we would have liked the case dismissed on merits, the fact that now it’s dropped... is satisfactory,” the director’s lawyer said. Egan, now 31, accused the director of abusing him in Hawaii when he was 17. He also filed three similar suits against other Hollywood figures, which were dismissed.
