At least 15 people have died and dozens more were wounded by an explosion in Rangoon, Burma, early Thursday morning. Officials told the BBC that the fire started in warehouses near the former capital that housed chemicals along with other materials connected to construction and salt production. Three firemen who attempted to put out the initial flames were killed when the fire sparked a large blast that quickly spread to neighboring homes and buildings. A security official said the cause of the fire and subsequent explosion has yet to be determined.
