The Denver Nuggets traded Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks Monday as part of a nine-player deal. Anthony was immediately signed to a three-year $65 million extension. However, the move could end up costing the Knicks their team president Donnie Walsh, who has rebuilt the franchise and wanted to wait until the summer to sign Anthony. Walsh was particularly opposed to parting with 7-foot Russian center Timofey Mozgov.
