Casey Affleck Sexual Harassment Lawsuit, Claims Extortion

Last week, Casey Affleck was sued for sexual harassment by Amanda White, a producer of I’m Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix, the documentary film he’s currently working on. Now, the 35-year-old actor-filmmaker is claiming extortion and asking California’s Superior Court for arbitration in the case. In a motion filed yesterday, Affleck’s attorney wrote that White has “concocted this fabricated sexual harassment lawsuit over a year after she failed in her devious attempt [to] extort a better production deal by walking off the film…” White’s film contract, according to Affleck, says she must settle any production-related legal matters in arbitration.
