It reads like something out a Greek tragedy: two of the four children of late Chinese art collector C.C. Wang, who came to U.S. as an immigrant in 1949, are fighting over control of an art collection that is considered the most extensive collection of Chinese art outside of China. Sources say Wang’s son, now 80, believes he is entitled to the collection due to his hard earlier life, whereas his younger sister had a more privileged upbringing. The sister accuses her brother of stealing from their father before and after his death in 2003. A judge has ruled they will have to go to trial to sort out their father’s wishes.
