Topshop has finally announced an opening date for its much anticipated Manhattan flagship. The NYC outpost - Topshop's first stateside—will debut at 478 Broadway on April 2nd. "Sir Philip Green, the boss of Arcadia, which owns Topshop, will host a press conference in New York on Monday to announce details of the launch," says the Telegraph. Sunday night, day four of New York Fashion Week, club maven Amy Sacco will host a private party in honor of the retailer at her club, Bungalow 8. Topshop originally scheduled its SoHo store opening for last August, but "construction problems and building permit hiccups" caused severe delays—and hipsters all across the city mourned. Of the postponed opening, Green said, "it has nothing to do with the economy. This is totally to do with the complexity of the project. America is a new territory for us and we have to get it exactly right. This store can't be a nine out of 10 when it opens; it has to be a 10 out of 10".
