As President Obama prepares to sign the stimulus bill, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs is saying there may be more where that came from. “I think the president is going to do what’s necessary to grow this economy,” Gibbs said. “There are no particular plans at this point for a second stimulus package,” he said, but added “I wouldn’t foreclose it.” He also called the stimulus “a strong start towards economic viability” and “the beginning of getting our economy back on track.” Gibbs spoke aboard Air Force One, as Obama flew to Denver for a bill-signing ceremony that will spotlight the stimulus’ clean-energy provisions.
