When two dresses are made entirely of bubbles, it’s hard to claim the similarity an accident. The New York Times’ Moment blog apparently attended Lady Gaga’s Fame Ball tour and is calling out the singer for wearing a bubble-covered dress nearly identical to one in Hussein Chalayan’s 2007 runway collection. Meanwhile, New York magazine’s fashion blog, The Cut, notes the designer’s missed chance to shine on in a tour spotlight, but ultimately stands in Gaga’s corner: “We can't expect her to go for the original when it covers the crotch area, whereas hers does not.” Excellent point.
