The death toll from the earthquake in Abruzzo, Italy rose to 207 today after tremors continued to shake the town overnight. 280 aftershocks have hit the city so far, including a 4.7 tremor at 11:25 am today, and 15 people are still missing. Rescue workers have so far pulled 150 people from the rubble, and rescue efforts are focused on four students in a dormitory in the town. Among the rescued is “Maria D’Antuono, 98, who said that she had spent 30 hours knitting as she waited to be freed from her ruined home.”
