Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrives in Washington today. What is on the agenda? Meetings with President Obama are expected to be tense: Obama will encourage a two-state solution and talks with Iran and Syria—moves which Netanyahu has indicated he opposes. Netanyahu will argue that the number one priority is to rein in Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but Obama is expected to retort that this should not interfere with a two-state solution. The two are also likely to butt heads over settlements in the West Bank and the blockade in Gaza.
