When is a magazine worth $375? Never say never. The much-anticipated fashion mag TIWIMUTA (This Is What It Made Us Think About, naturally), founded by designer and creative director Andre Walker is finally out on newsstands—at Barneys. Walker calls his creation “an open playground for experimentation” that scolds the publishing industry for being slaves to time constraints like movie releases and fashion calendars. Not that TIWIMUTA isn’t relevant: the issue features a photo shoot from Jean-Paul Goude and Marc Jacobs, a screenplay by writer Hilton Als, trendy food recipes and more. “The only real direction I gave anyone was to do whatever they wanted,” Walker said.
