As a part of an arts and culture festival produced by the French Institute Alliance Française, the "iconoclastic" French restaurant guide Omnivore will bring a group of hip, young French chefs to New York to cook in notable New York kitchens. The event, titled “Four Fucking Dinners,” in honor of host David Chang's favorite expletive, will be a held the night of September 14. Three of the dinners will take place at Chang's restaurants: Chef Pascal Barbot from L’Astrance (called "the most impossible reservation in Paris" by Gourmet magazine's Oliver Schwaner-Albright), will cook at Momofuku Ko (which Schwaner-Albright calls "the most impossible reservation in New York"); Inaki Aizpitarte, of Le Chateaubriand, will cook at Momofuku Noodle Bar; Alexandre Gauthier, of La Grenouilliere, and David Kinch of Manresa in California will cook at Momofuku Ssam Bar. The fourth dinner will be at Wylie Dufresne's WD-50, where chef Michel Bras will cook with Chang and Dufresne themselves.
