Talk about surreal: In a glass display case housed in a Salvation Army thrift shop—in a seedy industrial neighborhood of Houston—several works attributed to Salvador Dalí are for sale. On one side of the case, a disheveled tie rack; the case's shelves are lined with fabric, with "I ♥ Jesus" stitched in gold. The surrealist works include a pen-and-ink drawing, a crucifix sculpture, and a set of six lithographs, and they've attracted bids of up to $8,000 for each of three lots, after five days on view. The art was given to the thrift shop by an anonymous donor, and while their veracity is still being determined—Dalí is one of the most widely copies artists of the 20th century—they could be worth more than $76,000.
